The suspect, who has been identified as Farah, was presented in Civil Judge Muhammad Mumtaz Hunjra’s court.

The court adjourned the hearing till May 09.

She was arrested on Wednesday in connection with an FIR filed against her in Rawalpindi’s Naseerabad Police Station in January this year. Farah was shifted to a women’s jail.

The woman is accused of attempted murder and obstructing state affairs after she ran over a police officer when she was stopped on the motorway.

The FIR against the woman had been filed on January 2. However, police only sprang into action after the video of the incident went viral on social media.

The car involved in the incident has also been taken into custody.
