&lt;p&gt;The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has announced new regulations regarding the issuance of Iqama for family members of foreigners residing in the Emirates.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To qualify for family residence, a minimum monthly income of at least 3,000 dirhams, along with proof of residence, must be provided.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Family members who are 18 years old or older must undergo a medical examination at approved medical facilities in order to obtain a family Iqama.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If the relatives of an Iqama holder are already living in the emirate on a temporary entry visa, they have the option to convert their visitor visa to an Iqama, according to the authorities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The conversion process to obtain an Iqama must be completed within 60 days of arrival in the UAE.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Applicants can also apply for an Iqama through the “e-channels” system or the official authority website, as stated in the announcement.&lt;/p&gt;
