Oil tankers association to suspend petrol, diesel supply from Tuesday

The Oil Tankers Association has announced the suspension of petrol and diesel supply from Tuesday (tomorrow) because of a reduction in the supply by the administration.

In a statement, the association the supply of petroleum products would remain suspended to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The supply to all airports would also remain suspended, it added.

“The supply would remain suspended until the fulfilment of our demands,” the statement said and claimed that it got no response to the letters sent to the Pakistan State Oil officials and the Islamabad district commissioner.

The association said that the demand for filling the tankers through metered system should “immediately be followed”. The suppliers added that the district administration and officials violated the February 20 agreement.

The supply would remain suspended in view of token protest until the demands were accepted, it added.
