First two weeks of April will have over a dozen holidays

April would be the first month of 2024 in Pakistan’s Sindh where students and many employees are expected to have 12 to 13 holidays in the first 15 days of the month.

Educational institutions are closed on April 1 on the account of Youm-e-Ali. Roads are closed as mourning processions are taken out across the province to mark the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali.

The College Education Department has issued a notification in this regard.

It merits here to mention that government employees belonging to the Christian community would also have a holiday on the same day because of the Day after Easter Sunday.

    <iframe
        class="nk-iframe" onload="setInterval(()=>{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)"
        width="100%" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="height:400px;position:relative"
        src="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/card/30344926"
        sandbox="allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms">

Moreover, April 4 (Thursday) would also be a holiday in Sindh on account of the death anniversary of the former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. It will be followed by Jumatul Wida, the last Friday of Ramazan, a holiday on April 5. The next two days are the weekend: Saturday and Sunday.

Interestingly, Shab-e-Qadr would fall on April 10 (Wednesday). According to the Cabinet Division’s notification, April 11, 12, and 13 would be considered as Eidul Fitr holidays. Just to bring in your knowledge April 14 will be Sunday.

This is how students, teachers, and government office employees would enjoy more than a dozen holidays.
