You would have seen your peers in offices or schools complaining about incomplete sleep cycles as they remain dizzy till the time for iftar comes. Experts answered this query in the Ramazan transmission of Aaj News.

An expert said that this problem was prevalent around the world and added that the use of mobile phones before bedtime was affecting the hormones as the screen released blue light that lowers the secretion of hormones necessary for the sleep cycle.

She advised that mobile phones or gadgets should not be used for a time so that the body can prepare for sleep, stressing the need for sleeping at the same time.

The expert went on to add that less amount of sleep would lead to anxiety and depression.

Tib-e-Nabvi research scholar Agha Abbas Alsyed said that it was a tradition in the past to have oil massage for hair, however, now it is considered odd.

He added that applying Kohl (Surma) on the eyes also helps in good sleep.
