The display was organized by King Abdul Aziz Public Library at the institution’s branch at the King Abdul Aziz Centre in Riyadh’s Al Muraba Quarter.

At the event, the library’s supervisor-general Faisal Abdul Rahman focused on showing the institution’s “distinguished” collection and elegantly embellished copies of the book.

Faisal Abdul Rahman inaugurated the event signifying Quranic copies and their design.

He believed that cultural initiatives are crucial for the library’s mission centering national, religious, and cultural events.

“It is part of the library’s cultural program that focuses on holding thematic exhibitions on national, religious and cultural occasions inside and outside the kingdom,” Rahman said.

He said that this exhibition sheds light on arts, gilding and different schools of embellishing the Holy Quran.

Rahman said that other exhibitions concentrated on Arabic poetry and calligraphy.

The library has been highlighting Islamic and Arab heritage with the help of text, images and miniatures for around 40 years.
