&lt;p&gt;The country’s authorities announced a three-month amnesty during which expatriates, who violated the residency laws, will be allowed to rectify their status or depart Kuwait without facing fines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The amnesty will take effect on March 17 and will end on June 17. A maximum fine cap at 600 Kuwaiti dinar has been set for expatriates to regularise residency.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al Sabah announced the initiative.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The relief measures are likely to benefit over 120,000 expatriates who are in violation of Kuwait’s residency law.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the amnesty, expatriates living in violation of the law will be allowed to settle any outstanding fines and regularise their residency status following the country’s regulations.&lt;/p&gt;
