Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz on Thursday surrendered before an Islamabad accountability court, which quashed their permanent arrest warrants in three NAB references, including the Avenfield case.

The court had suspended their warrants in the case after their lawyer argued that they were to return to the country on March 12.

The duo flew to Pakistan on the due date and two days later appeared before the court.

Hassan and Hussain, sons of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, have been in self-imposed exile since being implicated in corruption cases in 2017.

On Thursday, as they arrived at the cour premises, they were questioned about their past statement. Hassan Nawaz said he had never claimed that he was not a Pakistani citizen.
