      <title>Madinah’s historic Salman Al Farsi well reopens to pilgrims and tourists</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A historic Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) era well in Madinah has reopened for pilgrims and tourists.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The well which is now called Al-Faqir well by many Saudis is known to greater Muslim word as  Salman Al-Farsi well.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;State run Saudi Press Agency reported that the well has been reopened after development works.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Salman Al Farsi well is located in Aliyah District in Madinah . It is situated in the center of lush orchards.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The development included installation of an iron fence – which is about one meter in height for the purpose of safety of people – addition of Palm trees, a paved inner landscape inner courtyard and strategically placed stone benches to enhance visitor comfort and enjoyment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The well dates back to 14 Century, serving as a symbol of Kindness and Act of Charity by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to historical researcher, Fouad Al-Maghamisi, this well is linked to the famous story of Salman Al-Farsi who worked as a slave in the orchard and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) set him free by paying to his owner. The site became known as Salman Al-Farsi well.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Saudi Government in the year 2022 had embark on mission to renovate and preserve more than hundred historical sites dated backed to the times of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to the Arab News, the government closed the deal with the target to revamp historical sites in Madinah till the year 2025.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The plan includes restorations of the site of the Battle of the (Trench), Al-Faqir well, and Al-Qiblatayn Mosque.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The government has also signed a deal for the restoration of Uthman bin Affan well and Sayed Al-Shuhada Square.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Authorities recently announced that around eight historical sites have been restored .&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Apart from Al-Faqir well there are nine other wells known for their own historical importance .&lt;/p&gt;
