Former caretaker foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani would be the adviser to the PM on foreign affairs and Tariq Fatemi would be the special assistant to the PM on foreign affairs.

They added that three had a meeting with PM Shehbaz in Islamabad. A team under the leadership of Dar would work for foreign affairs.

Dar’s new portfolio was decided after he was out of the race for new finance minister. The chief executive officer of Habib Bank Ltd, Muhammad Aurangzeb, is likely to be tapped for a top position in the finance team of newly elected PM Shehbaz Sharif, sources within the PML-N earlier this week told Aaj News.
