      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) on Wednesday unveiled its indigenously manufactured “HAIDER” tank (Pilot Project) at a rollout ceremony attended by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir as chief guest, Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of China, key officials of Chinese state company NORINCO, high-ranking officials of the government and Pakistan Army, along with several military and civilian officials of HIT.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The tank has been indigenously manufactured through collaboration with NORINCO China and various industries of Pakistan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During his visit, COAS Munir was briefed about the technical capabilities of the HAIDER tank and the progress being made in achieving indigenisation in arms and armament.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;COAS also visited other manufacturing facilities in the Heavy Industrial Complex and appreciated the commitment of the officers and workforce in successful achievement of another technological milestone.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier on arrival, COAS Munir was welcomed by the HIT chairman.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;HAIDER embodies cutting-edge technology and impressive capability in the domain of tank warfare having remarkable firepower, protection and manoeuvre characteristics.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Crafted with state-of-the-art advanced technologies, HAIDER stands as a testament to the Pakistani defence industry’s relentless pursuit of excellence in defence innovation.&lt;/p&gt;
