The incident took place in Ramzan Sabzoi, where the father and two sons were abducted from the hotel they worked at in broad daylight. The abductors made off with their hostages without any significant hurdles.

In response, the family of the victims staged a sit-in on the Indus Highway. The protestors brunt tires and blocked traffic moving between Sindh and Punjab.

This prompted action from authorities and a joint operation was launched in the kuccha area by police and Rangers.

According to SSP Bashir Brohi, four dacoits have been injured in the operation so far while a police official has also been hurt. The operation has still not been completed
