According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation led to an intense exchange of fire between tropps and terrorists.

“During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and the terrorists, as a result of which six terrorists were sent to hell, while one soldier also got injured,” ISPR said.

According to the statement, the terrorists ‘remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities including target killing as well as extortion & abduction of innocent civilians.’

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists.

A clearance operation was also conducted in the area to eliminate any other terrorists.
