His nomination has been backed by PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan who took an interest in making Marwat opposition leader in the national assembly, they added.

According to sources, the party is also discussing two other party leaders for the role while the final decision will be taken after a node from incarcerated former prime minister.

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has nominated Shehbaz Sharif as the party candidate for the slot of prime minister.

The Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has announced to support the PML-N in making their prime minister, however, the party will not be part of the Federal Cabinet.

On the other hand, the PTI leaders have claimed that the party has a majority in the centre, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to form governments without making a coalition with PPP, PML-N, or MQM-P.

The party has, however, announced to make an alliance with Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) in the centre and Punjab.
