      <title>PTI announces alliance with MWM in centre, Punjab</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced forming coalition governments with Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) in the centre and Punjab.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The announcement was made by Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan on Tuesday after party leaders and journalists met PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hasan said that the decision was made following approval from Khan to form coalition governments in centre and provinces.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the former prime minister approved allying with the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is pertinent to mention that the PTI-backed candidates contested the election independently after the Supreme Court stripped the party of its election symbol.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, the independent elected representatives are required to join a political party within three days of the election under the Election Act, 2017.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The PTI-backed members of national and provincial assemblies will not be entitled to reserved seats until they join a political party having an election symbol.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The reserved seats will be allotted to the party, independent MNAs and MPAs join after the elections.&lt;/p&gt;
