He was first taken to the Benzair Bhutto Hospital but has now been shifted to the DHQ hospital for a post-mortem examination.</p> <p>He had contested elections from Rawlapindi’s NA-57 and PP-19 as an independent candidate but was defeated.</p> <p>He had won a seat in the Punjab Assembly in 2018 elections on a PTI ticket but had parted ways with the party after May 9 last year.</p> Chaudhry Adnan, who contested general elections from Rawalpindi as an independent candidate was gunned down on Monday.
