PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to deliver victory speech after election results

PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif would deliver a victory speech in Lahore after the complete election results as the party claims to emerge as the single largest party in the Centre and Punjab

“MNS will head to PMLN HQ for the victory speech as soon as final results are received,” Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of Sharif, said in a post on X.

According to the provisional results shared by the Election Commission of Pakistan, a tough contest was seen between independent candidates and the N-league.

Maryam’s announcement comes hours after one of her party leaders claimed that the PML-N would form a central government. But PTI’s Ali Zafar has also made similar claims.

Sharif, who is trying his fourth term, was scheduled to make a speech on Thursday night. But media reported that it was delayed after initial results surprised the party.

Maryam rebuffed such reports and described them as “false perception deliberately” built by a section of media last night.

“PMLN, Alhamdolillah emerging as the single largest party in centre and in Punjab. Some results awaited,” she said.
