In a recent statement, Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has a concluded a Visa Abolishment Agreement for Diplomatic and Official Passports holders.

There are as many as 48 countries with whom Pakistan has a visa abolition/exemption agreement as of December 12, 2023, according to a document from the interior ministry. It was shared by journalist Zahid Gishkori on X, formerly called Twitter, on Sunday.

“Three months visa period will be applicable on short term/official business visits and visa for entire period of assignment will be applicable to members of diplomatic/consular missions and their families,” stated a note on the document.

The Pakistani passport was ranked 101st in the Henley & Partners Passport Index while the Indian passport was ranked 80th.
