PTI Karachi spokesperson Falak Almas said that the the party had organised a Quran khwani at a party camp in the city’s District Central but it was attacked by men belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Almas said that Khali, who is the party’s candidate for NA-248, was beaten and injured by the men and is currently being treated in the hospital.

The party condemned the attack and demanded that the Sindh caretaker government and elections Commission of Pakistan should take notice of the matter.

The spokesperson alelged that the such acts were being carried out with the aim of making the atmosphere tense as elections draw closer.
