      <title>Zaka Ashraf steps down from PCB chief post</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee Zaka Ashraf on Friday resigned from his post after Pakistan suffered a heavy blow against New Zealand in the ongoing T20 series, according to a statement by the PCB.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He announced his decision during the fourth meeting of the PCB’s Management Committee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ashraf said that he had decided to tender his resignation as chairman  to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Greenshirts have been defeated 4-0 in the five-match &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30348286/new-zealand-dominate-pakistan-to-go-4-0-up-in-series"&gt;T20 series in New Zealand&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A day earlier, &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30348236/arthur-bradburn-puttick-resign-after-change-of-portfolio-in-nov"&gt;Mickey Arthur&lt;/a&gt;, Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick, who were assigned duties at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore after a change in their portfolios in November 2023, resigned from their respective positions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“All three individuals informed the Pakistan Cricket Board of their decision to leave their respective jobs by the end of January 2024,” the PCB said in a statement on Jan 18.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan were &lt;a href="https://www.aajenglish.tv/news/30346785/warner-57-helps-australia-to-series-sweep-in-final-test"&gt;whitewashed&lt;/a&gt; by Australia in the Test series held in December 2023 and January 2024.&lt;/p&gt;
