Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed his first rally of the election season in Hafizabad on Thursday.

Speaking to the crowd alongside Saira Afzal Tarrar, Nawaz said that Pakistan would have become an ‘Asian Tiger’ if he had not been ousted from power.

He said that his government had ended terrorism and loadshedding in the country but he had been removed for not receiving a salary from his son.

Charged byt he crowd’s energy, Nawaz asked the crowd where it was getting its passion and said he was dancing with them.

He went on to say that he would leave no difference between Lahore and Hafizabad if he came to power again.

However, he made a relatively short speech and handed over the mic to Maryam Nawaz.

    <iframe
        class="nk-iframe" onload="setInterval(()=>{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)"
        width="100%" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="height:400px;position:relative"

The rally comes a mere 20 days before the general elections are scheduled to take place.

The PMLN supremo returned to Pakistan after nearly four years in exile in October last year. Even though the hurdles in his way, inlcuding court cases, have rapidly fell away, He has kept a relatively low profile since coming back to the country.
