An unfortunate incident occurred on a SpiceJet flight designated for Bengaluru where a passenger went to the washroom soon after the plane took off but could only come out after the plane landed.

According to NDTV, when the passenger tried to open the door of the toilet he found that lock was stuck.

To address the situation the crew attempted to unlock the washroom from outside. However, after failing to rescue the passenger they wrote an apology note for the stranded passenger requesting him to be patient and slipped it inside.

A technician managed to unlock the door and release the passenger from the confinement of the washroom after an hour when the plane landed at Bengaluru airport.

SpiceJet apologized and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the passenger. In a statement, the airline said the passenger had been given a full refund on his airfare.
