The Kuwait Municipality has announced more than 1,000 job vacancies available to both its citizens and expatriates in a wide range of sectors, Arab Times reported.

According to the country’s annual budget report a total of 1,090 positions are open to apply in 2024.

As many as 36 positions in the funeral department are specifically designated for foreign workers including the ritual washing of the deceased while 25 driver positions are open for hearses.

Additionally, the Kuwait Municipality is also looking for accountants, architects, electrical and mechanical engineers, however, it has not been revealed whether these positions are also accessible to foreign applicants.

Meanwhile, the new budget of estimated KD190 million for wages and compensation, represents a substantial increase of KD9 million compared to the current budget.
