      <title>AML chief Sheikh Rasheed arrested in May 9 case</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed was arrested on Tuesday in a case pertaining to the May 9 violence.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He was arrested from Rawalpindi after a court rejected his bail application in case filed in the New Town police station for vandalism at the Metro bus station in Rawalpindi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;An Anti-Terrorism Court which rejected his bail, later adjourned the hearing of the May 9 riots cases till January 25.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rasheed’s lawyer told media that the bail of the the former interior minister’s nephew, Rashid Shafique, was granted bail in all 13 cases related to the May 9 riots.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“The AML chief, however, has been taken to the police station and will be produced before the ATC tomorrow to decide on his judicial or physical remand,” he said.&lt;/p&gt;
