Info minister bashes British daily for reposting Imran Khan’s article multiple times

Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has said that British daily The Economist reposted former prime minister Imran Khan’s “ghost article multiple times in an attempt to gain popularity among the PTI troll brigade.”

“A lot of people have told me that the owners of this daily include the Rothschild family. The sister of Khan’s former wife Jemima Khan is married in that family. I do not know if it establishes any connection of theirs regarding the former PTI chief’s article,” he told Tariq Chaudhry on Spot Light.

According to Solangi, The Economist was not acting as an independent magazine as it was attempting to gain the support of the PTI.

“We will write a letter to them as we have said,” he said.

On a level playing field, he said that the nomination papers of around 80% of PTI candidates were approved while they were also approaching courts and the Election Commission to submit their petitions.

“PML-N, PPP and JUI-F are also decrying the lack of a level playing field. These are tactics used by political parties to gain masses’ support,” the info minister added.
