“You are hereby directed not to conduct the said activity at Marriott Hotel on December 29, 2023,” said a letter from the additional district magistrate in Islamabad issued on Wednesday. “In case of non-compliance, necessary legal proceedings will be initiated under the law.”

Fundraisers are bound to provide the details of donors and audit under the international laws, sources said and added that the NOC was cancelled after the private organisation failed to comply with the conditions.
