“Christmas will be celebrated on December 25, 2023. It is therefore requested that arrangements may be made to disburse the salary and pension for the month of December to the federal government servants and pensioners belonging to the Christian community of December 20, as per Rule-217 of the Federal Treasury Rules (Vol-I),” it said.

Christmas preparations have gained momentum in the twin cities. Homes and churches adorn themselves with the Christmas trees, flags, twinkling lights, and radiant electric lamps.

The government has installed closed-circuit security cameras within every church as part of security measures.
