      <title>Rupee records marginal loss against dollar in interbank</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The rupee started the week with a marginal loss against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Monday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The local unit shed three paisas against the greenback which was trading at Rs283.9 at the closing of the market, as against the closing of Rs283.87 on Friday, December 8.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the open market, the buying of the dollar was recorded at Rs284 while it was quoted at 286.5 for selling at the time of filing the story.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the previous week, the rupee extended gains as it appreciated 0.38% or Rs1.10 to settle at 283.87 against the US dollar in the interbank market.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a negative session as the benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 211.31 points or 0.32% to settle at 66,012.32 levels.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The KSE-30 Index shed 75.08 points or 0.34% to reach 22,048.06 levels at the closing of the market on Monday, the first trading session of the week.&lt;/p&gt;
