The campaign sparked public outrage due to controversial images reminiscent of the Gaza war.

Iqra, a commentator on X, said that the campaign was against the humanity.

“How such a big brand do this for publicity stunt for advertisement , this is against the humanity. No humanity left in these scumbags,” she wrote.

In the clothing retailer’s campaign, model Kristen McMenamy is seen posing with mannequins wrapped in white cloth and plastic. The image sparked an outrage for its similarity with the Gaza war as people accused Zara of profiteering from the suffering of Gazans.

Jibran Khan called the ad “Absolutely Disgusting” saying Zara is mocking the deaths of the Palestinians and “promoting the Israeli genocide committed against those innocent civilians.”

Mariam from Gaza, another commentator on X, was shocked to see such campaign.

“I never even thought I would witness something like this in my whole life. You can be greedy as much as you like but don’t take advantage of the genocide for your own profits,” she added.

Khatija said that the Zara campaign was a shameful act of profiteering from Gaza’s destruction.

“Images feature model Kristen McMenamy standing amid rubble, limbless statues, and mannequins wrapped in white cloth and plastic,” she added.
