&lt;p&gt;Melody Queen Noor Jehan bid farewell to the world on December 23, 2000, after a prolonged illness. Her memory lives on through her timeless music, a treasure trove of melodies that continues to captivate generations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To honour the legendary singer, Caretaker Information and Broadcasting Minister Murtaza Solangi announced this on his official X account.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He wrote, “PTV will broadcast her songs from December 1 to pay homage to Madam Noor Jahan on her 23rd birth anniversary.”&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Considered to be one of the greatest and most influential singers in the Indian subcontinent, Noor Jahan was a playback singer and actress who worked first in British India and then in Pakistani cinema. His career spanned six decades.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;She recorded around 30,000 songs in various languages including Urdu, Punjabi, and Sindhi.&lt;/p&gt;
