According to the document, the latest hike will be levied on all goods traffic with effect from December 1 while the total freight will be rounded off as per previous practice.

However, the increase in the rate will not be applicable on Cargo Express.

It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistan Railways increased the train fares by around 5% in September.

The increase became effective from September 2, according to which the luggage and parcel charges were also increased by 5% after a hike in the petroleum prices.

The railways department increased the ticket prices for express, passenger and intercity trains.
