Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar met Dr Humaid at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad on Friday. The Saudi dignitary arrived in Pakistan on November 22 for a six-day visit.

Earlier, Dr Humaid also called on Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

Caretaker ministers Aneeq Ahmed, Madad Ali Sindhi, special representative of the PM Maulana Tahir Ashrafi and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki also participated in the meeting among others.

Dr Humaid appreciated the role of Pakistani expatriates in the development and prosperity of Saudi Arabia.

He said that Pakistan and Saudia Arabia had ideal long-standing relations.

He also thanked Pakistan for the excellent hospitality during his visit to the country.

PM Kakar expressed gratitude for Saudi cooperation in the development of the education and health sector in Pakistan.

He said the care of the Pakistani expatriates working in the kingdom by the Saudi government was exemplary.

PM Kakar condemned the ongoing aggression by Israel on Palestinians and the killing of children in Gaza.

He expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, while emphasised the immediate establishment of a corridor to deliver relief goods to Gaza.

PM Kakar also welcomed the establishment of a news agency from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s platform.

He emphasised that documentaries on Islamic teachings, history, and tradition should be broadcasted in different languages to help convey the true message of Islam to people around the world.
