Imran is court’s favourite, enjoys ‘unimaginable’ facilities in jail: Bugti

Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said on Monday that Imran Khan is the ‘blue-eyed’ boy of the courts and is getting unimaginable facilities in jail.

Speaking in an interview with Independent Urdu, the minister said that he believed that most cases registered against Nawaz Sharif were baseless. He added that it had been an unprecedented incident that a prime minister was disqualified based on salary from his son.

He added that the courts in Pakistan were in dire need of reforms.

However, he clarified that Nawaz is not getting any ‘favours’ from the caretaker government. He added that Bilawal and Nawaz were exactly the same in the eyes of the interim setup.

He went on to say that Imran Khan was the real favourite of the courts. He added that the facilities being provided to Khan in jail were beyond the imagination of the common man.

Bugti said that court orders regarding Khan will be fully implemented.

He said that RAW was involved in many incidents in Pakistan and the issue of missing persons has become a tool for propaganda. However, he said that it was not appropriate for the high court to call the prime minister in the case.

    <iframe

On refugees, the minister added that over 300,000 refugees had returned to Afghanistan and the process of their return would be completed in another month.

He added hat 99% of those who had returned were Afghans and that those who had ‘scaled walls’ to enter a house could not be considered guests.
