The protesters marched from Karachi Press Club to CM House near Saddar market as the authorities placed containers on the road leading to the CM House.

Consequently, they staged a sit-in on the CM House road as a huge contingent of police was deployed to maintain the law and order situation.

During the protest, the journalists demanded the arrest of Mahar’s killers as they chanted “Arrest Jan Mohammad Mahar’s killers.” They also protested against the police’s alleged use of excessive force.
