“President Dr Arif Alvi’s letter to the caretaker prime minister will be answered through a letter. I have said this before the president is the president of all Pakistanis and not of a political party,” he told media persons in Lahore on Sunday.

Solangi requested President Alvi to uphold the respect of his position, saying it would be better for the president to not become a spokesperson of a political party.

“Concerns and complaints are part of democracy which should not be a worrying thing. Individuals and parties have the right to submit their complaints,” he added.

The caretaker government will assist the Election Commission in holding free and fair elections in the country, Solangi said.

“The current setup of ECP consists of highly professional individuals. They are working according to the announced schedule. I believe that schedule will be announced after November 30,” he added.

He refused to respond to a question regarding the PML-N party meeting in Punjab’s Governor House.
