The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the data of remittances coming in October, according to which an amount of 2.5 billion dollars came in the form of remittances during the last month.

In terms of growth, the remittances of overseas Pakistanis increased by 11.5 percent on a monthly basis and 9.6 percent on an annual basis last month, the report said.

According to the SBP, remittances of $616.8 million were received from Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia and $473.9 million from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during October.

Apart from this, 330.2 million dollars have been repatriated from the United Kingdom and 283.3 million dollars have been sent home by Pakistanis living in the United States.
