“In continuation of the earlier notification dated 17-08-2023, the PM has been pleased to assign additional portfolio of Parliamentary Affairs to Murtaza Solangi, Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting,” according to a notification.

Solangi took charge of his position as interim federal information minister on August 18, 2023, when the caretaker setup came.

He succeeded Marriyum Aurangzeb as the information minister.

Solangi served as director general of Radio Pakistan from 2008 to 2013.

“Murtaza’s journey culminated in many accomplishments, with the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz award bestowed upon him by the President of Pakistan. This accolade recognizes his “Excellence in Public Service Broadcasting,” reflecting the profound impact of his work,” said the information ministry website.
