Nawaz to reach out to political parties to ‘strengthen democracy’

Nawaz Sharif has decided to reach out to other political parties for a consultation over the country’s issues, sources in the party claimed on Sunday.

The reports added that senior party leaders had advised the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief to sit down with the leadership of other parties to ‘strengthen democracy’ as well finding a way forward on economic issues.

Nawaz is reportedly planning to contact other political leaders over the next few days and could gather them at a reception.

Party leaders have advised Nawaz to reach out to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the reports added.

Apart from a discussion on challenges facing the country, particularly on the economic front, and how to deal with them, Nawaz is also expected to apprise other political leaders about his policy of not seeking political revenge.

    <iframe
        class="nk-iframe" onload="setInterval(()=>{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)"

The PMLN supremo arrived in the country on October 21 after nearly four years in exile. He had left the country after the Lahore High Court allowed him to travel abroad for medical treatment.

Since his arrivals, the legal hurdles in his path have slowly cleared with bails being restored in cases where he has been convicted. The former prime minister has since began consultations within the part on his next political strategy.
