The apex court released the written judgment of the October 31 proceedings in which the court stated that the PTI chief is the prime petitioner in the case.

A copy of the court order should be delivered to the former prime minister who has been imprisoned, the court said in its written order. The notice to the PTI chairman would be served via the jail superintendent.

However, the court said that the appeals against the Supreme Court verdict in the NAB law amendments case have been conditioned with the detailed verdict of the Supreme Court (Practice & Procedure) Act, 2023.

In this regard, the SC issued notices to the attorney general for Pakistan and all provincial advocate generals along with all parties in the case.

A five-member bench of the SC led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa adjourned the case on October 31 until the detailed judgment in the Practice and Procedure bill case was issued.

The court stopped accountability courts from giving final decisions in corruption cases until the next hearing in the NAB amendments appeal case.

The bench also included Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandokhail, and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi.
