The notification for the appointment of Ishaq Dar as Chairman Election Cell was issued after the approval of Shahbaz Sharif.

The notification was issued by the secretary general of the party, Ahsan Iqbal.

In this regard, PML-N Spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb says that by appointing Ishaq as the head of the election cell, the performance will be accelerated and all related matters will be completed quickly.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that Ishaq Dar was also the head of the parliamentary committee that drafted the Election Act, of 2017.

It should be noted that on the order of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission has given the date of the general elections on Thursday i.e. February 8.
