The bus driver fled after the incident which occurred at Saleem Centre, New Karachi. The collapse resulted in six injured being shifted to hospital, one of them succumbed to injuries and was identified as Danish.

However, the Police cordoned off the area and took both vehicles into custody. The first information report was registered on the complaint of a rickshaw driver identified as Zahid.

Earlier, in February another BRT green line bus had collided with the grill of the stop. There were no causalities have been reported in the incident.
