Sources said that Khan complained of stomach pain after which the authorities provided medical attention.

Doctors examined Imran Khan in the jail barracks and also gave him medicine to relieve the pain.

Sources added that the police was also present throughout Khan’s checkup.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman is currently in jail in the cipher case registered under the Official Secrets Act.

Khan’s wife, Bushra Begum, has already filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court claiming that the former PM’s life could be in danger, including through poisoning.

Apart from other facilities, the petitions have also asked for Khan to be provided home-cooked food.
