      <title>Punjab interim govt approves budget for four months</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The interim government in Punjab has approved the province’s budget for the next four months.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A meeting of the interim cabinet under Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi approved the budget on Monday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The budget which will apply through November to February and will have a total size of Rs2076.2 billion.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the budget, Rs35 billion have been set aside for development expenditure and Rs50 billion to provide ‘relief’ to the public.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;An allocation of Rs222 billion has been made for education and Rs208 billion for health. The government has also set aside Rs5 billion for the Punjab textbook board.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The budget also carries allocation of Rs10 billion for agriculture and Rs1.8 billion for National Health Support Program.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The government has also decided to enforce the minimum wage introduced in the previous budget from July. The wage had been set at Rs32,000.&lt;/p&gt;
