According to police officials, the girl was a resident of Keamari, and had come to her maternal grandfather’s house in Shah Faisal Colony with her mother.

The accused, identified as Hammad, was taking the girl to his house with the intention of raping her when locals caught him and beat him up, they said.

The police arrested Hammad and registered a case while the victim has also identified him.

A first information report has been registered at the Shah Faisal police station on the complaint of the girl’s uncle Munawwar.
