Residents of the area started searching for the suspect after the video went viral on social media. He is said to be a salesman who sells bakery items in different areas.

They beat the suspect after identifying him and handed over him to the bakery owner, media reports said.

According to the police, they were checking whether the incident was of mutual consent or harassment. The police said that they would register a case and arrest him if it turned out to be an incident of harassment.
