Sources said the decision was made on the orders of Aghanistan government chief Haibutallah and committee of officials from six different ministries has been formed to oversee the matter.

The Afghan government camp will reportedly be located in Lalpur district, in Nagarhar province, just across the border from Pakistan. The camp will essentially be a tent village for which the government will seek help from international agencies as well.

The government has also decided to pay travel fees for families whose guardian is female instead of male. Sources have also claimed that almost 100,000 families have moved from Pakistan to Afghanistan in the past year.

Pakistan recently imposed a November 1 deadline for illegal refugees to sell their properties and move back across the border. Failure to do so will result in deportations and assets being seized.

Reports said that upto 1.7 million Afghan refugees are living in Pakistan without any documentation.
