Addressing a press conference in Lahore alongisde Marriyum Aurangzeb, Iqbal said that Nawaz has experience in fixing the economy and was faced with tough economic conditins when he came to power in 2013.

He added that Nawaz had provided relief to people of Pakistan till 2017 when he was ousted as a result of a conspiracy.

Iqbal added that nothing could be proven in the Panama Papers case so the ‘excuse’ of iqama was used to disqualify him

He also said that an incapable man was handed the keys to a nuclear armed country and it the country’s current problems were his doing. He also blamed Imran Khan for making a bad deal with the International Monetary Fund.

Nawaz Sharif is set to return to Pakistan on October 21 after nearly four years in exile.
