&lt;p&gt;The day began with a 21-gun salute at the federal capital and 21 21-gun salute at all the provincial capitals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country were offered in the mosques after Fajr prayers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to a Radio Pakistan report, a two-day National Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) commenced in the federal capital on Thursday in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prominent Ulema, Mashaikh and scholars are participating in the Conference and throwing light on various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Buildings, streets, roads, mosques and houses have been decorated with colourful lights in connection with the auspicious occasion.&lt;/p&gt;
