“Rain-wind/thunderstorm (with hailstorm at isolated places) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Potohar region, upper/central Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, and south Punjab” the Met department said.

Snowfall is also likely over high mountains in upper KP, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the period, it added.

However, dry weather is likely to be recorded in other areas of the country, while the weather is expected to be hot in southern parts.

On September 27, the Pakistan Met department had forecasted thundershowers in parts of the country from September 28 September 30 as the monsoon season withdraws from the country.

“Rain-wind/thunderstorm with hailstorm (at isolated places) is expected in Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Haripur, Kurram, Waziristan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Murree, Galliyat,” the Met department said.
