Nine people were killed and four others wounded when a rocket launcher exploded in the Katcha area of Kandhkot on Wednesday.

The incident occurred when a family residing in Nawaz Zai, a neighbourhood located near Ghora Ghat, attempted to dismantle a rocket launcher their children had found nearby, as they intended to sell it.

The rocket launcher exploded during the attempt, resulting in the loss of nine lives, including four children and three women, while three others were injured.

The bodies and the wounded were shifted to the hospital, and the police and rangers cordoned off the area.

In response to the incident, the chief minister of Sindh Justice Maqbool Baqir sought a report from Inspector General Riffat Mukhtar.
